Getting Started

Where to purchase Minecraft Java edition
Though we are Bedrock compatible, cross compatibility is not perfect.
Therefore, we strongly suggest playing SqueejCraft using the Java version of Minecraft.

You can purchase Minecraft Java edition here:

Step 1: After launching the game, click the Multiplayer Tab

Bedrock tip: Turn off auto-updates so you don't lose access whenever there's an update.

This is Hard difficulty Minecraft
If you're relatively new to Minecraft, you will likely struggle with hard difficulty. SqueejCraft does offer a few extra tools, such as set homes and player-to-player teleports, however these often take time to execute and come with warm up times and movement cancelations, requiring you to address conflicts as they come with little room to escape via server mechanics. This intentional design helps to preserve the vanilla survival experience, while also providing ways to get around when it's safe to do so. This server does not nerf spawn rates or spawn counts. It's raw vanilla Minecraft, with a few additional quality of life improvements. So, expect a challenge. If you're brand new to the game, but still like the server, consider watching a few YouTube tutorials on how to properly survive your first few nights. You can always also ask the community for help if you ever need some extra assistance.

What to do after logging on for the first time [ /rtp ]

The most common way players typically get started on Semi-Vanilla servers such as this one is by typing /rtp in the chat window. This will teleport you to a random starting location within a 2,500 block radius of the World spawn point. This is a great way to get started in a multiplayer server, as if you launched a brand new game of Minecraft.

The Help Menu

For more information about the server and it's features, type /info in game.

Multiplayer commands [ /info ]

Many java multiplayer servers such as this one rely on the use of commands to execute certain tasks that normally wouldn't be considered vanilla Minecraft, such as setting a home point. As shown in the above example with /rtp, a command is entered in chat, starting with a forward slash ( / ), the name of the command, then pressing enter to execute the command. It's important to note that while logged into SqueejCraft, these commands execute on the server side, not the client side.
